For week 2 of my internship, I worked my first concerts, Glorious Sons and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. For both shows, I collected different concert flyers, ones that are similar to the show’s demography. Then after I collected the flyers, there were also ones that needed to be printed. I went all through upstairs and downstairs of Stage AE to change the flyers. There were flyers outside that also needed to be changed. Then for the second show, after the flyers, me and the other marketing interns, set up the promotion table. At the promotion table, we would have guests fill out a survey, which entered them a chance to win a pair of tickets to their choosing. It also gave them an opportunity to spin a wheel which would have prizes on it. The promotions table is at the front of the venue, by the main entrance doors. Both shows were indoors. This is so people will walk past it when entering into the concert. At the internship, I was able to talk to Danny, who works for the sponsorships and hospitality for Stage AE. Danny also sells box seats for Stage AE. Marketing and sponsorships work together quite often. A big sponsor that Stage AE has is Dunkin, which is the line promoter and table promoter. A few other sponsors is White Claw, IC Light, and Yuengling. Being able to work the promotion table and talking to Danny, taught me many different things.
