For week 9 of my internship, I was able to work my first sold out show, which is important for using the promotion table, as there are many fans who are willing and interested to fill out the marketing survey. The sold-out concert was Renee Rapp, who is a pop and R&B artist. Along with working the concert, I was able to work office hours as well. This week for my office hours, I was able to learn about donations. For donations, certain events or fundraisers can request a donation from Stage AE. I went through the donation requests and researched each event. I needed to research the event to make sure the tickets that were donated would actually have interest. I would then find a concert show that would fit the event that was being hosted. In the office, I was also shown a marketing plan for an artist and Stage AE’s press release. I have been shown a press release for Kemba! Live but not for Stage AE. It is very similar and has all of the same information as the one Kemba! Live. It has what band is playing, what kind of music, the date of the show, where the show is, and a biography of the show.
